NCC Backs the 2026 Hunter Innovation Festival
Hunter iF is thrilled to announce that the City of Newcastle’s Assessment Panel has officially approved our funding application under the 2026 Event Sponsorship Program for the upcoming Hunter Innovation Festival 2026.
A 24-Year Legacy of Innovation
Now entering its remarkable 24th year, the Hunter Innovation Festival has become a cornerstone of the region's entrepreneurial and business landscape. Since its very inception, the City of Newcastle (NCC) has been a steadfast partner. Their continuous cooperation and support over the past two-and-a-half decades have been instrumental in allowing the festival to scale into the premier event it is today.
Driving Visitation and Economic Growth
The City of Newcastle's Event Sponsorship Program is designed to foster vibrant public spaces, stimulate the local visitor economy, and enhance the city's reputation as a dynamic destination.
Securing funding under the highly competitive Major Events tier is a testament to the festival's successful track record of delivery and marketing. This specific category champions established events that have a demonstrated capacity to attract not just local attendees, but significant out-of-region day-trippers and overnight visitors. This grant recognises the festival's critical role in promoting Newcastle as a premier hub for innovation and business tourism.
