As Creative Partner at Canvas Group, Jorge Castillo brings over 20 years of experience in graphic and digital design, advertising, and communications. Born in a small mining town in Chile’s Atacama desert, he moved to Sydney in 1986 and co-founded Canvas Group in 2003. Under his guidance, the studio has delivered more than 14,000 projects and become one of Australia’s most awarded digital agencies.

Jorge has extensive experience in Destination Marketing, leading work across every touchpoint from brand to technology. Notable projects include Orange360, which won Gold for Best Brand Experience at the Australian Design Awards, Gold Winner for Destination Marketing Campaign of the Year at the NSW Tourism Awards 2019, and Silver Winner at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards 2019. Experience Gold Coast has also been recognised internationally, winning two 2023 Sitecore Experience Awards for digital innovation and excellence.

He has served as a judge for Awwwards, the world’s most visited digital awards platform, and The Webby Awards, and was an AGDA Councillor in 2013–14. Jorge also contributes to advisory boards and regularly shares his insights through talks in both education and professional forums.
