Caroline is a collaborative leader committed to delivering positive outcomes for local communities, with a strong focus on both economic development and tourism in regional areas. Her career demonstrates a clear passion for fostering local business and a community-minded approach, as highlighted by her volunteer roles.
She currently serves as the Manager of Economic Development and Tourism at Cessnock City Council and is a Director at Hunter iF, roles in which she fosters innovative industries and supports the mission to spark creativity and collaboration in the Hunter region.
Her commitment to regional communities is evident throughout her extensive experience at Maitland City Council and Sutherland Shire Council. At Maitland, she led the preparation of the city’s Economic Development Strategy and coordinated the implementation of its Destination Management Plan, while at Sutherland Shire she worked to stimulate and support sustainable economic growth and resilience. Her volunteer work as a Director for the Hunter Region Business Hub and with the Merewether United Football Club further showcases her dedication to supporting local initiatives beyond her professional roles.
Earlier in her career, she also contributed to the economic vitality of regional areas as a Tourism Marketing Officer for the City of Newcastle, Australia.
