Acknowledgement of country

The Hunter Region sits within the traditional lands of the Awabakal, Biripi, Darkinjung, Geawegal, Wonarua and Worimi people, who we acknowledge as the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we gather and innovate. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present, and emerging. We recognise and respect their cultural heritage, beliefs, and relationship with the land, which has nurtured their innovation and adaptation for tens of thousands of years. We acknowledge that the land on which we innovate always was and always will be Aboriginal land, and we aim to honour their ongoing connection to Country as we pursue progress and create a positive impact for the future.
