Dr. Renee Goreham is a Senior Lecturer in Physics at the University of Newcastle and a nationally recognised leader in NanoBiotechnology.
Her research focuses on innovative diagnostic technologies, including the development of cutting-edge sensors for early disease detection. After completing her PhD at the University of South Australia in 2014, Dr. Goreham held research positions across Australia and New Zealand before joining the University of Newcastle in 2019.
She leads a multidisciplinary research team working at the intersection of physics, biology, and engineering. Dr. Goreham was awarded the Women in Research Fellowship in 2020, the AIP NSW Community Outreach Award in 2023, and is a current Superstar of STEM (2024–2025), recognised for her leadership in science and commitment to public engagement. Her work aims to shape the future of non-invasive diagnostic technology.
