Accelerating low-carbon concrete adoption

Concrete Change Starts Here.

Workshop

We’re hacking the future of construction at the Hunter Innovation Festival. This fast-moving hackathon is all about breaking barriers to low carbon concrete. How do we make it cheaper, cleaner, and easier to use?

Think bold ideas, rapid problem solving and real-world impact. Whether you’re a builder, student, designer, or innovator, bring your brainpower and help us reimagine the foundations of tomorrow.

We’re at a pivotal time in our low carbon concrete journey. In August, Cement, Concrete and Aggregates Australia announced the upcoming release of the Australian Adaptation of the GCCA Low Carbon Concrete Rating System. This is a big deal. The framework will provide a clear, transparent benchmark for measuring and comparing the embodied carbon of concrete, helping governments, procurers, and industry make lower-carbon choices with confidence.

To help you, you’ll be joined by Australia’s champion of Good Design to inspire and prime you to think differently, leading building and construction industry experts to equip you with insider knowledge and an expert facilitator to guide you through the hackathon.

Got what it takes? Let’s build better, together!
